The Ancient Page

The Ancient Page is privileged to make individual leaves (pages) of early Biblical manuscripts, including Latin and Greek manuscripts, available to Christians today.

We feature leaves and pages dating from the 13th through the 17th century which come from fragments of books whose bindings have not survived the ravages of time.

Because we value the sacrifices of men like John Wycliffe, Martin Luther, William Tyndale  and other reformers, we at The Ancient Page strive to preserve the manuscripts and Bible leaves of the Reformation period, as well as earlier centuries.

The Bible pages we are offering are all in remarkable condition and all are guaranteed to be over 300  years old. They are rich in the “olde English” language and many have red margin lines that were hand drawn by 17th century scribes.

Each page is carefully handled and preserved using only the highest museum quality matting and custom framing to preserve them for generations to come at surprisingly affordable prices. When you place an order, each Bible page will come with a beautiful custom gold frame, custom matting and/or gold fillets, archival mounting using 100% cotton rag acid free mats, a certificate of authenticity, a facsimile of the Bible’s title page and an engraved brass plate showing the Bible version and date.

Although Bibles are readily accessible to most people in the 21st century, to Christians of centuries past, the Word of God was not as easy to come by. Many spent their lives, suffered torture, and were even burned at the stake with the dream of making God’s Word available to the common people. Finally in 1611, an English version of the Holy Bible was published with the authorization of the King of England. It would become the most popular and cherished version for almost four centuries.

We feature all seven of the English Reformation Bibles beginning with Tyndale and ending with the First Edition King James of 1611. We also offer several editions and sizes of both the King James and the popular Geneva Bible. However, because of its size and beauty, the First Edition King James, 1611 A.D. remains our most popular.
